Reels and Watch videos
Facebook reels behave like Instagram's: they reach the browser as a stream, not a file, which is why the right-click menu offers nothing. The extension detects them like any other video and saves them as MP4. Watch videos work the same way, usually with several qualities to choose from.
Live streams that have finished
Once a live broadcast ends, Facebook leaves it published as an ordinary video and from that point it downloads like any other. Not during the broadcast: while the stream is still running the complete file does not exist yet, so it is worth waiting until it ends and is processed.
When the video is not Facebook's
Many posts do not carry an uploaded video but an embedded link from YouTube, Vimeo or similar. There the extension detects what is genuinely playing, which is the other platform's player. Worth knowing, because it explains why the list sometimes shows a source you did not expect: not a bug — the video was never hosted on Facebook.
Keeping the audio too
From any of these videos you can extract just the MP3, handy for talks, interviews or long streams you want to listen to without the picture. It comes from the video's own audio track, with no lossy conversion step in between.

Frequently asked questions
Does it download in HD?
If Facebook serves an HD track, it appears in the list with its size and you can pick it. Many middleman sites only take the lowest quality.
What about private group videos?
Those your account can already see, yes. The extension accesses nothing you are not allowed to play.
Does it work with saved live streams?
Yes. Once finished and posted as a video they behave like any other.
Do I need to paste the link somewhere?
